Christine Ifen Chuang

Co-Founder & Assistant Director

Born and raised in Taiwan, Christine Ifen Chuang began piano lessons at the age of 5 with her father, Rev. Sung-Hui Chuang. With her gifted ability to improvise at a very young age, she was placed in many competitions and won numerous awards.

Upon graduating from high school, Ms. Chuang was accepted to the Cleveland Institute of Music under the study of Elizabeth Pastor, where she completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Piano Performance. She also studied with the world-renowned piano pedagogue Olga Radosavljevich.

Reported as “a gifted and powerful pianist” performing “with passion on music expression and with charisma,” Christine’s talent on accompaniment and general improvisation exhibited her immaculate skill. During her studies at CIM, she was selected as a scholarship recipient to the Aspen Music Festival, where she studied under Juilliard Professors Herbert Stessin and John Perry. Upon earning her Master's, she was offered a teaching position at Akron University and a permanent position at the Hudson Community Chapel.

Her recitals ranged nationwide including Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Chicago, Cleveland, and Dallas. Post-graduation, Christine also found herself traveling back to Taiwan to hold teaching positions in several Institutions, such as Aletheia University, Taiwan Theological College, and Christ College. All in all, Ms. Chuang has appeared in many concerts as a soloist, duo pianist, and chamber/accompanist.

Ms. Chuang has extensive experience teaching children and adults of all ages and levels. She currently resides in Frisco, Texas with her husband and 3 kids.
