Ms. Wang - Cellist
Ms. Wang is a Doctoral Cello Performance student at the University of North Texas of Music college in America. She was born in China where she began to study cello at age of 8. She started to learn cello with professor Ying Shi who was the cello principal of the Harbin Opera Orchestra. In high school, Ms. Wang earned Instrument Competition second prize. In 2013, she was offered to study in the college of music at Renmin University of China and started to learn with associate professor Ying Wang and professor Lixing Jiang who is the former Principal cellist of the China National Symphony Orchestra. In 2014, she represented the Renmin university at Bayreuth Youth Music Festival and performed in many cities in Germany, then she passed the audition for the Bayreuth Youth Orchestral and cooperated with conductor Peter Stark. In 2015, she followed the Renmin University Orchestral to perform at the University of
Dublin, University College Cork in Ireland, also she played quartet in the Chinese embassy in Ireland. In 2016, she went to BIMFA Beijing Music Festival and performed several chamber music. When she got the cello performance bachelor's degree, she went to the University of North Texas and was studying with cello Prof. Eugene Osadchy, and Dr. Johannes Kleinmann. She got the Cello Competitive Scholarship for her Master’s Degree. In 2019, she won the GEORGE PAPICH CHAMBER MUSIC STUDIES COMPETITION SECOND PRIZE. In 2020 she got the recital then She has accomplished her Master's Degree. Currently, she got the Cello Competition Music Scholarship at the University of North Texas and continues studying cello performance for the Doctoral Degree with Prof. Gal Faganel and Dr. Horacio Contreras. She won the First prize in the Golden Classical Music Awards International Competition, First prize in the Charleston International music competition, Second prize of the MPA music competition, and third prize in the London International Music Competition.
